Black wooden inlaid xiangqi board + white plastic pieces

This xiangqi set is not one that belongs together. I saw a nice board on eBay, looking for a set of pieces, and then a set of pieces, looking for a board ...

The board is made of wood, inlaid with something (not sure what) ...

... and the pieces are made of sturdy plastic, a bit larger and heavier than other plastic sets in my collection. 

They look fine together, don't they?
