Recently, I saw a listing on Etsy for a resin set of 'Lewis chessmen'. Looking at the pictures, the set certainly contains 'Lewis-style chessmen', but there were clear differences with the actual chessmen as in my Lewis set.
Exploring the interwebs more, I found out that this set is a replica of the 'Leipzig set', which dates back to the 14th century. The set was carved from bone, in a style style quite similar to the 12th century Lewis chessmen.
So I ordered a copy!
The set came without a board. so I used my red wooden board, as it has a bit of a medieval feel to it, so it fits the pieces.
